Reza Dana moved to New England when he was 14 to attend St. Paul’s School, a boarding school in New Hampshire. He obtained his BA, MPH (master of public health), and MD degrees from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Dana trained as a resident in Ophthalmology at the Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary in Chicago and then completed his first clinical fellowship in Cornea & External Diseases at the Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, followed by a second clinical fellowship in Immunology & Uveitis at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary (MEEI). He extended his training in ocular immunology by serving as a research postdoctoral fellow in Ocular and Transplantation Immunology (1994-6) with Dr. Wayne Streilein at the Schepens. Most recently, because of his enhanced interests in academic leadership roles in health care, Dr. Dana completed a two-year master of science program at Harvard in Health Care Management.
